It's no secret that we've been getting A LOT of snow here and winter weather. So that has meant A LOT of snow days and time spent at home. One of the things that I have always wanted to do in my ALL Blonde Oak house is paint my trim white. Last year my husband FINALLY let me do!! After that happened my oak stained doors just didn't work, I was torn between white or black.
The more I researched (which I highly suggest everyone do before doing any major renovation project in your home) the more I found I really love the contrast of the white trim with the black doors!!
Last year I also switched out our brass light fixtures with black so it tied everything in nicely and I also have black furniture pieces through out the house. I think it's important to have everything flow and blend.
I am not a fan of everything matching, don't get me wrong, walking into Art Van and buying a whole living room set probably will never happen but I do believe in creative and purposeful design and making sure each room flows into the next.
